1 can tomato sauce -- (15 ounce) 1/4 tsp. dried oregano 1/4 tsp. dried basil leaves 1/4 tsp. dried thyme 1/4 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. ground black pepper 1 bay leaf 1/2 tsp. lemon juice 1 dash onion powder 1/2 Tbs. sugar Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Heat the sauce until it starts to bubble, then turn the heat down and simmer, covered for 30 to 60 mnutes, until it reaches the thickness you desire. When the sauce is cooled store in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed container until required. |
